Compliance Assistance

Compliance requirements for employee benefit plans have exploded over the last 20 years. With the ever changing federal and state regulations, we at AVI Services, Inc. understand how it impacts every area of human resources, qualified plan, employee benefit administration and essentially the line of business itself. AVI Services' clients have an expert team to assist them in meeting their compliance obligations.

For example, many employers know that they need to inform employees about COBRA using the "Initial Notification" form but most employers are unaware that there are more than 10 different notifications employees MUST receive through out their employment life.

We keep our clients informed about changes in compliance requirements resulting from federal statutory or regulatory changes. We are up to date on pending and emerging legislation that may affect our clients' benefit plans and administration. This reduces the risk of potential litigation and fines. Our staff regularly attends Compliance Seminars (COBRA, Cal-COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA etc.) in addition to our annual licensing classes to stay abreast of all federal, state and local changes in relevant laws and regulation.

Our compliance consulting services include:

• Evaluation of plan design to confirm compliance with all state and federal regulations

• ERISA compliance and disclosure support
